Piemonte’s bursting with local wine and food festivals all year round. Big ones are a google away, but we’ll happily tip you off about those happening during your stay with us.
Especially in summer, there’s almost always a town festival (fiera or sagra) to enjoy nearby. In San Martino Alfieri, the local events committee organizes a five-day festival mid-July, filled with food, drinks, music, and dancing.
Beyond food and wine, Piemonte is stunning: rolling hills crowned with castles, quirky “big benches” (panchine giganti) to hunt down on hikes, and vistas so lush, you’ll want to take a lot of pictures.
Piemonte is best explored by foot, car, or (e-)bike. Electric and mountain bikes can be rented locally, with some providers offering guided tours—a popular concept alongside Vespa tours.
In autumn (October to early December), the prized white truffle becomes the region’s crown jewel. If you have the chance to join a local truffle hunter and their dog for an early morning hunt, it’s a bucket-list thrill you won’t forget!

The cities of Alba and Asti are within easy reach (20min by car). If you’re willing to venture further, Turin’s a must, or try the smaller Vercelli, surrounded by rice fields and home of the royal risotto. Even Milan is only a two-hour drive away, perfect for a day of shopping or a sightseeing swirl. For bargain hunters, large outlet shopping centers are close by too.
Sporty types can smash it on nearby tennis and padel courts, while Golf lovers can tee off 9 or 18 holes on one of the courses near Asti or Cherasco.
